The State of Himachal Pradesh is known as "the land of gods and goddesses". It is one of the beautiful, mountainous states in India.

Himachal Pradesh is the least evangelized state in India and has a population of over 6,000,000.

In 2001, IFMI started ministry in the state of Himachal Pradesh. By the grace of our Lord, the ministry has now spread into many places. Pastor Puran Chand and Pastor Parasu Ram are our full-time pastors and they lead worship services in 12 places.

Our vision is to reach all 12 districts in this state with the love of the Lord Jesus Christ, plant churches in all 12 districts, and raise native leaders through short-term training in evangelism and church planting.

Evangelism and church planting are not easy in many parts of this state as religious fanatic groups often attack the new believers and churches. But with the Lord, all things are possible!

One of the districts in HP, Lahul & Spiti, which borders Tibet, is the least reached district in North India. There is no regular Christian work in this district. The district does not have a full-time IFMI worker. But one Pastor from Kullu district often visits this district for preaching. The Lahul & Spiti district will be closed for 6 months because of heavy snowfall in winter.
